Any tips on good places to take pictures from?

Yes I am going to pop along. This is the closest rally to me (Salisbury) now that the Sunseeker doesn't run anymore. frown

I will just do the forest stages rather than rushmoor arena. I have no tips as I only have been once before and that was around 5 years ago and I can't remember anything!

Does the £10 car park charge account for both forest car parks or just one?

I was out cycling every day over the weekend, and spotted some of the cars out and about (between stages, I presume).

Everything from minimum modification Rover ZR hatchbacks, to fully rally prepared Citroen C1s, plus a bunch of 'proper' classic rally cars, including Talbot Sunbeams, Imprezas, and I swear there was a Fiat 131 on the road up to Rushmoor Arena.

Much of what I "spotted" was after dark, and coming straight at me, so I didn't so much see the cars, as heard and smelled them behind their powerful lights. I'd have liked to have gone up during the day and seen a stage, but preferred cycling to standing around in the miserable weather we've been having.

I enjoyed my day marshalling on the Warren stage, although the weather wasn't great in the morning! We had a Subaru get beached and had to be pulled free by one of the army Landrovers so then we had to change the stage route due to that section being impassable. Some great cars competing though and the last run of the stage didn't start until 5.35.

It was wet out there wasn't it! Thank goodness for the waterproof coat/trousers etc.

I watched Warren at 10.00 and then Pavillion at 11.30 ish. It was nice to see so many MK1/Mk2 escorts in Warren, but even by Pavillion 1.5hrs later, a lot were missing in action. frown

I then made a swift exit to Wales to go to the Phil Price Rally School the following day. Great weekend.
