Convoy to Santa Pod Sunday Service, 3rd April

As suggested by Jay - giving us enough time to get a route confirmed and meeting points, if necessary, agreed.

Assuming a 08:30 arrival target, it looks to be a good 1.5 hours from Chieveley Services however given a lot of the attendees for the MBW SS convoy were further North (Oxford) it may be a better idea to stage the initial meeting point elsewhere?

I guess that we'll be using route similar to the following?

1) Heading up the A34 to the M40
2) Exiting the M40 at J10 onto the A43
3) Driving the A43 through Towcester and up to Northampton
4) Picking up the A45 towards Wellingborough
5) Exiting the A45 at J11
6) Final run through Wollaston to Santa Pod

Yes I'm keen for a drive in with others. I'm not signed up to go on the strip, but never been before so looking forward to seeing what it's like.

If you're coming up the a34 I can always wait in a lay by or pear tree services at Oxford junction.

I'm in the same position Simon i.e. I won't be booking myself in to race down the strip however I am interested in attending as I've never been before.

Shall we set the meeting point as Peartree Services then? It's 1 hour, 10 minutes from there so 07:30 meet?

Should be picking it up tomorrow if it's OK, had an electrical fault on Monday so I had to call RAC again (on speed dial now)...a relay had gone awol and threw up a load of fault codes. Since been fixed, garage driving it around today and tomorrow to make sure it's OK.
