Has anyone any experience of Sascron Cars in Thatcham? Thatcham is in the Thames Valley isn't it? I can't see another PH region that it might be in.

I'm looking for a particular spec Mondeo estate and Sascron have one. But I've never bought from a car supermarket type place before. Any thoughts?

You might find on a "review centre" site that feedback is mixed.

Attempted to buy a car from there about 4 years ago. Attempted being the operative word. High pressure salesman did not inspire confidence, and was pressured to leave a deposit within minutes of enquiring about the car.

And as with any dealership a google search with the business name and 'trading standards', or "deposit" in the string helps.

I work very close to Sascron. I could pop in and take a look at the Mondeo for you if you like. I don't know much about Mondeos but I could give it the usual once-over and let you know if it's worth the trip.
I can't tell you anything about the dealer themselves though.

Mrs Ph1l5 bought her car from there. Probably wouldn't buy from then again there were a few niggles which they sorted after the purchase but was just a hassle having to go back and fourth to fix things.

Thanks everyone.

I haven't come across Review Centre before but the views on there (not radically different to some, but not all, of my own car buying experiences at various dealers over the years) are enough to put me off and I can afford to wait.

Went to look at a Z4 35i there . Mrs felt very uncomfortable with the place . Car was not good. Only read feedback when we left. Wont want to go back.

They had a car I was interested in, on paper, called ahead to book a viewing and test drive.

I didn't get a good feel for the place or staff, I was rushed around the car before being told I could only see the paperwork and drive the car once a sale price was agreed.

I walked away and will not be going back.

Amused it says Thatcham hehe

Friend bought a car there. I won't say too much, but it had some serious issues - although nothing connected to the drive of the car. From what I understand they were not at all helpful and it took legal action to achieve a result.
