I've seen them there a few times in the past couple of weeks.

They've mainly been on the side that heads towards Wilmslow in between the two tunnels with a car waiting at the Valley Lodge round about.

Another one of life's little joys taken from us..........

Serious question - bit of speed and noise really that dangerous there - no pedestrians or cyclist , everyone heading in the same direction ???

Mots dangerous activity i see is the late overtakes as the tunnels end and go from two to one lane...

And then misjudge the slight downhill, panic, carry far too much speed onto the roundabout and desperately try to hang on and not understeer into the kerb, I could sit there all day and watch that hehe

The Ashley turn off and the Airport viewing park are more dangerous
i bet the coppers are only there at weekend after bikes and sports cars,
rather than friday nights stopping the commuters who have had afew on the way home

Is it just me or does the car they show the car on LIDAR doing 80mph, not actually doing 80?

It's not a real-time replay is it? And they've probably already been caught inside the tunnel before they realise the police are there and hit the brakes. I'm assuming the police will fire as far into the tunnel as possible before the driver realises they're there?

the police wouldn't have it on their radar had there not been loads of "lots of money but not very good at driving" moments down there in recent years. Often Ferrari. Sometimes celebrity (e.g. Christiano Ronaldo). There has been speed cameras at one of the exit points for a few years now. Fortunately I owned a TVR before any of this got such scrutiny!

First time I drove through the tunnels in a California it very nearly caught me out, a random damp patch meant the back end stepping out in 3rd......

Ahh the good old days, 3.5" turbo back on my Evo 9 and the carbon airbox on the CSL. Up and down, up and down we go.... weeeeee..

I was working at the house of one of the ex owners of MoneySupermarket last year. His day consisted of pulling out one of his Ferarri's and taking it for a blast through the tunnels, the best was his F40, sounded glorious.
