I don't think us farnborough lot had much say tbh it was more the toffs in those faux fleet mansions on that so called posh estate were all the houses have cardboard internal walls no garden and cost at least 3 times there worth,
Rushmore council are always happy to build anything on anything it's hart council that don't like there pleasant green fields
Affected by us borough scum
It's fking Hart that gave the go-ahead for the stupid Sun Park development. Note that the traffic from it, the GP registrations from it, and the kids going to school from it will all be exiting the estate onto Rushmoor roads though. Shoulda made the feckers drive the long way to Farnborough down the bypass over the 4a road bridge. After all, they closed the Minley Road as a through route to REDUCE traffic on it. Now there's an additional 150 houses, which probably works out at about 450 cars, all piling out onto Sandy Lane and the Minley Road. Giving them only a pedestrian exit onto Sandy Lane would have gone a long way to encouraging our new neighbours to walk or cycle a lot more.Rushmore council are always happy to build anything on anything it's hart council that don't like there pleasant green fields

Planning round here is an utter wk-fest. Let the fking pretentious wkers who live around Fleet Pond suffer for a change. Fill the damned pond in and build a new estate on it, and make Pond Tail and neighbouring roads through-roads onto that new estate. It'd be dead convenient for the railway station too. Grrrr!

Well they may (looks finished) but they don't - still got the "temporary" 40 mph signs up, or is that something we need to get used to?
May be cynical, but I expect so!
Signs had all gone on Friday and it's back to 50. Actually saw two people walking along the new path, one in the morning and one around lumchtime May be cynical, but I expect so!
Looks like the new lights were a waste of time for the tool driving this pick-up!
Bit of a necro-bump for thread, courtesy of this months Heath Scene magazine that comes through the door every month or two.

More people than ever at Watchmoor Park are already leaving their cars at home and are now cycling and walking to work, following the opening of the shared A331 pedestrian / cycle lane
I know I've seen the odd person walking / cycling there during the day / rush hour at times I've been there, but it's certainly not been massively packed like their claim quoted above makes out. I should also point out that SCC have no stats / figures to confirm how many "more people than ever at Watchmoor Park" actually number AlexRS2782 said:

A pathetic attempt to justify the cost and disruption.Surrey County Council said:

In my experience it is much as before - unless there are loads of invisible people with invisible bicycles! Although, I suppose if 1 person used to walk there and now 2 people do, technically they are telling the truth.
