I like the fact it is full of old people as they are generally quiet, though a lot of them are dying off and young families are starting to move on.
At that rate, there will be nobody left.

I have to drive through Bracknell quite often and I have no idea if it has any shops or centre at all. None are discernible from the countless roundabouts.

If only. The houses departed by the 1 or 2 older people are being populated by families of 4 or 5, with multiple cars. Getting busier by the minute frown

The town centre is "hidden" in a rectangular square that is basically a giant roundabout.

It used to be, but the roundabout is blocked now and you get randomly ejected into some part of town that you don't recognise.

It's a sthole, don't do it to yourself. Full of chavs, retards and in-breds. Higher crime rate than surrounding areas, McDonalds is the most popular restaurant in the area, it's a dump.

Martins Heron is much nicer but quiet as it has nothing but houses there. Binfield and Winkfield are also nicer.
You seem to know a lot about Bracknell and it's people, I take it you used to live there, please tell us why you moved, was because too many Big Mac's were playing havoc with your waist line or may be your cousin became s**t in bed

OOOOOOOooooo!!! Classic pistonheads degenerating into name calling because someone didn't like one of the comments on the thread. To return the favour I'll surmise that you're in a bad mood because you got turned down by your sister (also your mother) for anal sex, she didn't have the time to lube it up and stick it to you because she's off for botox in the hope that her street walking client base will expand.

Bracknell is st. don't try and say otherwise because you can't put lipstick on a turd and say it's anything other than a stinking, festering, turd. bracknell is a turd, full of turds and smells of turds. Chavs live there, single mums push their pushchairs to McDonalds daily so they can have a fight in the main square, and massive bell ends (you) also live there.

It's a dump, nuff said.

So what you are trying to say is you can't laid in Bracknell, and you were the one that started the name calling, unless calling people retards and inbreds isn't classed as that

The claim of higher crime than surrounding areas isn't necessarily true

157 Crimes reported in Bracknell "Central/ North" in December 2016

117 in Marlow

112 in Burnham/ Taplow

178 in Maidenhead

179 in Windsor

542 in Reading

As you can see, it isn't quite the ghetto you make it out to be, the town centre which is apparently full of fighting chavs only had 51 Crimes reported.

RSRSRS I live in Bracknell, and while yes there is single mothers, chav's etc you get those in another other town. Yes its dated, but its being regenerated with money pumped into the town centre, infrastructure and local area's. Huge amounts of housing being built, and some fantastic areas for walking and seeing the outdoors.

Have you ever lived in Bracknell or just a guess of what its like? Can you let us know where you live so we can call it sh*t?

I used to live by the Met Office roundabout, then in Martins Heron.

I bought this (my first property) in Bracknell just over 10 years ago. Yes, I bought here because I couldn't afford Woking where I had been living (with parent).
I live in Birch Hill, which is about half a mile from the edge of Swinley forest. As a keen mountain biker/runner/walker, I'm in there several times a week, and 10 years on, I'm still not bored of it. A 5 minute walk from my flat is a nice park with two small lakes, and in the middle of it a grand old house converted into an arts centre/cinema/theatre. In the old cellar is a very good comedy club with an excellent reputation.

As a road cyclist as well, it only takes a few minutes to escape Bracknell and be amongst fields. As for car transport, its ideally situated around the M3/M4/A30.

Downsides? Yeah, the town centre has always been a dump. But then again, I rarely go there (a handful of times a year), so I don't really care. I'm sure it will look smarter once all the regeneration is complete, but with the same identikit shops and restaurants as every other town, I cant see i'll be going there much more often.
Crime? My garage (slightly away from my flat) was broken into an my mountain bike stolen (about 8 years ago). I'm pretty certain it was a targeted hit, with someone having followed me home. The bikes now live in my spare room. A neighbour had his car broken into a couple of years ago, and a pair of Raybans stolen. That's the only crime I can remember in the area since ive lived here.

It would be nice to have a proper pub within walking distance, but theres plenty within a short drive.

Overall, is it the greatest place on earth? No. Is it a good place for non-millionaires and young familes? Yes, in my opinion.

Grew up in Bracknell, moved out of great Holland when I was 7 to forest park and lived there for 20 odd years. That side of bracknell is fine in my opinion, Martins heron is nice with some fairly expensive property's, Warfield is better imo behind the tescos.

Unfortunately bracknell comes with the stigma as seen by previous peoples comments but I found it to be OK. (once I moved from GH)
The Hollands! I grew up there too.

Keep away from M Heron imho as there is a sewage farm there that stinks to high heaven if wind blowing in "wrong" direction.

But you have long enough to look around while you are sitting at the interminable red lights. laugh Maybe you aren't looking in the right direction!

Strangely(?) nothing more from the OP - I think he may have been put off by general negativity (I hope so)!

The odd red light gives me a chance to work out where I am frankly. Normally I'm too busy trying to spot my next roundabout lane and exit to check out the scenery.
