After weaving my back to the station through the throng of pre Xmas revellers, I asked the smiling, eager to please rail worker(?)
'What Platform for Blackwater?'
'Platform 8, it's the one coming in now!
Arse! If running to catch the train to get there was bad enough, repeating my efforts on top of a few beers and a v.fine curry was not good for the digesation.
There was a family travelling back from Gatwick on my carriage. If the fog and icy temperatures hadn't made them realise they were back in Britain, a sweating beered up oaf letting rip with a Guiness & Curry fueled belch, did the trick

Anyway great to meet everyone, and a Merry Xmas to you all (or y'all as I drive a yank)
