5 & 3 here, and yes that option did cross my mind actually, if I can convince Mrs Cloth . Just have to contend with someone to look after the dog then (does it ever end )

I can't make the weekend of the 15th (unless I can bring the offspring, as that's youngest's second birthday) or the weekend of the 29th, as I can't figure out any way to persuade my sister to move her wedding to Wales!

Following on from the fish'n'chip run, and assuming the Clotted Cream Run isn't going to be a dismal failure, i am going to start putting together the "Rarebit Run" - starting just west of London and ending up in South Wales on the Gower peninsula at the Oxwich Bay hotel. Again it'll be an overnighter, Sat/Sun, 29th and 30th of September.

The hotel is the white patch at the other end of the beach:
