I plan a hole day increasing my carbon footprint so a hoon in the morning fits in nicely and would give me the opportunity to meet a few of you. I do however have a water based hoon planned commencing mid-day back in gods country so, have the plans firmed up at all? Basic stuff; what time do we meet, where, eta at brekkie location etc etc. I know how long it takes for me to eat brekkie so the rest should all be plain sailing from there on in... unless my laces come undone of course then I might need a little help.

This will be the meeting point as far as I'm aware. Ockham Common just off M25:

http://streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=507910&y=1...

The plan is for an early kick off (7am-ish) so I'm not sure how that fits with a pub lunch.

Ben (Angrys3) has tried to get hold of Tom Tom files of the route - not sure if he has been successful? In any case I have a pdf of the route - if you would like a copy PM me and I'll email you a copy this evening.

Sorry details are a little bit shakey. I expect they will have firmed up by this evening.

The meet point will be the Oakham common carpark just off the M25 junction onto the A3 (the exit for the car park is on the slip road going up to join the A3) we have the original Tom Tom files, maps and notes from the previous run (which was very well organised - thanks to Gruffy for that! thumbup), however the location for breakfast will likely not be quite as far as Hayling Island, I'm looking into where might be good, suggestions just down near hayling island are welcome.

We'll be aiming to leave the carpark around 7am as I HATE traffic, the run includes some of the best roads I've ever driven on, once at the coast we'll either make our own way back or we can find some of the other great roads for the way back. I'd say we'd be back up this way by lunchtime.

Well said John rofl

If anyone wants the tom tom files etc. let me know, I'll also print out a few copies of the maps, but my plan would definately for the group to stay together for the run.

So just to be clear as I'm trying to find somewhere for breakfast, I guess that means you won't be joining us?

Who off this list would like a breakfast at the end of the run if we can sort it out / who is actually serious about coming?

Well if we want a cooked breakfast the Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Clubý will open for us (and do breakfast especially) at 10am on sunday. So what we could do is aim to get the the car park at ockham for 7, leave at 7:30, I can't remember how long the run took but I think we'd be there before 9:30, stand around laughing at the cars then get some breakfast?

Edited to add, this is pretty much the same as the original plan (ETA of 10AM), so I think this should work thumbup
