I am actually quite tempted by this one... being in Dundee being the downside.

Expensive compared to the car i'm looking at in the morning - C43 Estate with 50k miles for £11k

True, just found that one as well, does look nice too... 2 shapes old though whereas the Beemer is only 1 shape old so that will probably be bolstering the price in comparison.

Well, C43 is not fitting the bill, looks like the 911 is staying for a while longer at least...

True.
Sounds like the C32 AMG estate could be a worthwhile option though, as someone suggested earlier in this thread. Hmmm...

I have a friend with a similar age and mileage B10 saloon, bottom end went (not massively uncommon on these engines) and it cost him £££££ to get it sorted.

Or i can buy an AMG which only has rust issues and the odd gearbox problem (entirely preventable with the appropriate maintenance) for £10k...

I suppose thats a trouble with alot of highly strung cars, when they go pop it can be expensive.

I have been doing abit of read on some of the AMG's and I have to say that they do seem a pretty good purchase. I have always liked them but have never really known enough about them.

Until I can afford displacement, I shall be happy running about in my jamjar with most amazing suspension in the world! wink
