At the mini roundabout junction with Burchetts Green Road, 3-way temporary traffic lights. Couldn't see what the temp lights were in aid of. Traffic was backed up for a mile in both directions & that was at 7.15pm.

I will post an update tomorrow morning, hopefully it'll be cleared by then.

I thought you meant the Great West Road (A4) running from heathrow to London. I arrived just after a serious accident so luckily I was only sat for about 40 minutes in traffic, 20 of which were completely stationary, but I never found out how serious it was.

2 hours later it was still completely gridlocked.

After all the p*ss-taking, I'm not sure I care anymore.

However as a grown-up, I can confirm that the temporary traffic lights are gone smile

And just over the brow of the hill is a short stretch of dual carriageway (all 40 limit)... Talivan heaven!
