Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant in our around the Sandhurst/Crowthorne area.

It's for a birthday meal.

Unfortunately Punto's won't work for the birthday girl.

She's a happy in a harvester so I was looking for a more upmarket option!

Probably depends on your budget, and the occsion but

Crowthorne's finest:
Beijing - good chinese, reasonably priced, good service

Don Beni's - Italian, good atmosphere, need to book, not "intimate", but good value.

Mango Tree - wine-bar/ Indian. Quite a different taste and not your regular ruby.

Kabirs - your regular, honest ruby

For something a bit more special, go to the Casa Dei Cesari in Yately. Very nice food, fair price, and good venue for a romantic evening.

Going a bit more upmarket, go to Ruchetta in Wokingham. Not cheap, need to book, but first class food.

Good luck

I took that to be a dismissal of Casa del Nigel on the grounds that the OP wanted somewhere upmarket to a Harvester! laugh

It was more of a drunken hazy way of saying that taking her to an Italian/French/Polish/anything decent restaurant would be a waste smile

We ended up going to Stirrups. Nice food, shame about the service.

Thanks for the input though, it gives me some options for when I'm in the doghouse biggrin

Bel and the Dragon This place is good, but you'll need to book for an evening...
