Oh, it let me post that time, better get in quick before it s up again...

Back on topic, should I thrash the nuts of my car on this run when there's what can only be described as a "loose" feeling in the transmission.

Makes sense, after all. its going to love the fresh cold air and also if there is a problem you need to accetuate to bring it on early, that way it can be fixed by xmas... rofl

Looks like I might have to pull out of this unless I can get a pax ride with someone, as my civic's been 'melted'frown

I'll know more tomorrow, but can't see it being fixed, (if it's gonna be fixed at all), by next w-end frown

Mahoosive fire at the garage it was getting fettled and prepped for sale.

Seems my car was in the line of fire, so to speak!

Few brandies later and it doesn't seem so bad! It's only a civic after all!

SHIT sorry to hear that Andy, however if you were about to sell it, as long as you get a good value things might be looking up smile

Thanks for the sympathy guys!

Don't know the damage yet, as the site is closed due to the gas cylinders there for the welding equipment, etc. They need to cool off before the site can be declared safe again. Apparently the building it was parked next to has burnt to the ground so it's not looking good, but I won't know for sure until I pop along tomorrow!

If your worst fears are confirmed all may not be lost as Ben says! If you have a good agreed value on the car you may be able to kill two birds with one stone by ridding of the car and getting a good payout from the insurance company.

But regardless of that, I am gutted for you. frown

I'm sure plenty of people would be more than happy to offer you a lift. If I was able to make this run I would be more than happy to. smile

Well you hav'nt let lack of brake lights or pads put you off in the past. Don't see how this is any different?

Sorry to hear this mate. Fingers crossed on either the car surviving or a prompt decent payout on the insurance.

If I'm about (work has me travelling on the 28th at the moment) i'd love to take this run in. First timer and all.......

No comments on the hairdresser nature of the car please (Ben.....;-)
