The original RS6 was 450bhp and I'm guessing Greg's not wrong, I think it must be a Merc, but I can't think of any that would be well known etc.

Nicking both John and Bens idea, I reckon it could well be an RS6.

If its the one I'm thinking of, I reckon its the Layer Cake RS6 which is currently up for sale.
