Hi all - mate of mine in Reading has inherited an Audi 80 2.6 V6 (L reg) saloon. However it needs new brake pads all round (possibly discs on the front) and a new headlight lens for the MOT.

Can anyone point me to a reasonable indy either in or near Reading? He got a quote from Audi, but it was eek!

He rolled his last car, but I'm sure this one will last a bit longer smile

I use a place called Seaspray in Iver, they are good blokes and very reasonable on costs.

There's also Fontain in Iver, however I'm not sure you really need a specalist for brakes. Hell I'd do them for him if I wasn't so busy.

I'm doing a booze run to Calais shortly... would a crate or two of beer sway you? wink

I would normally bite your arm off, I'm just too bloody busy and don't see that improving this year. frown

Andy used to work at the nearby VAG dealer (& continues to do jobs for them) - highly recommended.

Already sorted - my Dad and I go every November. Thanks for the offer though!

Maybe an idea for a TV&S weekend next year though... scratchchin

Oh my god!!!! wink Are we safe...

Could try the VW place round the back of Caversham? They could probably get the bits at the least. Otherwise I'll have a chat with some of the chaps re: main dealer price...

I'm assuming I'm right on who actually owns the car!

Mind you, they did a 150bhp version and a 174bhp version so neither are that quick unless he has a real talent for rolling cars! hehe
