Now off to wash car inspect brakes,
Well I had a great day today!
Still learning the teg, as this was the 1st time I've driven it in anger, so this, along with getting to grips with the agressive diff, tired jap tyres, and icy roads meant I wasn't giving it full beans in some places, so I hope I didn't hold anyone up too much
Anyway had a great time, thanks John and Nathan for organising
Also apologies to John for getting us lost - nearly missed out on our breakfasts!!
Cheers,
Andy.
PS - Pete, I thought you were going to miss your turn off home for a second!!

Thanks to Nathan and John for organising, John for the text alerting me to the event, the "Bracknell Crew" for an interesting first and last portion, and to everyone else who made the morning so much fun!
Exhausts were the order of the day. Bitter, Cerb, Greg's 993 and Jon's GT2 especially

Guys, thanks for letting me tag along today, I really enjoyed it before I got lost. Also, really sorry for taking you all the wrong way at Goring / Streakley. Will try harder next time.
Had a good laugh on the way back to Bracknell though. A really well organised trip with great cars and good company.
Well done to John and Nathan.

I'd like to repeat my thanks to Nathan and John for another excellent drive out, but the day started with terror. A quick look on PH told me that my passenger was still up, pi$$ed at 02:30 and I was to pick him up at 06:30. He was, however, remarkably chipper for a bloke in his "condition", with no jacket as he got into the cold Chim with the roof off.
We were still pootling along, warming the engine up when the "Brackers" team caught us up, and as Ben wanted to take some pictures of them, we tried to position the car appropriately on the M4. A certain Mr Sideways took this as a "challenge", and accellerated away to almost 70 mph. Ah well, our engine was soon well and truely warmed
The meet point had a lovely assortment of cars lined up, and as we set off at an "enthusiastic" pace, it certainly promised to be a fun hooon. Given the mixed conditions, i thought that there was some excellent driving skills on display. Well done to all of those who managed to keep their cars in a straight line all day, and sorry to those who i might have held up. It was a strange site, being third in a line of TVRs, all of us tip-toeing along the wet, icy valley waiting for the next "slide".
Many thanks to Nathan and Dave for the blast home. Fortunately the A4494 up to Wantage was dry, and just the best. God how i love that road!
For me, the funniest moment of the day was when we were half way home and Nathan was clearly getting a little concerned that we weren't talking to him on the radio. He wouldn't have it that his set was broken, and only when we had stopped and proven to him that Ben and i had been talking to each other and him, and he just hadn't heard it, did the frown disappear from his furrowed brow, and the smile return to his face - well done Matey!!
Oh yes, and a warm welcome to newcomers Clevers and MGaut on their first SAS event.
May i take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy New Year, and i look forward to driving with you in 2008.
Cheers, David (Thunderpants?)

I often find a good force feeding of cold air (50+mph) clears the head from any condition (especially off shore!!)E1DJH said:

Thanks for organising it John/Nathan, I had a blast. Its always a pleasure to share the road with people who drive sensibley but who also press on a little.
Oh and I hope the XLLifts had a laugh in the V6, it was certainly good fun navigating those roads wasn't it?
Sorry to Greg for peppering his car with stones...
