Yep waiting for UK; you can import for about £45k with duty and SVA - but no warranty, no service channel, 300BHP, and all settings in kms rather than miles... I'm sure an independent somewhere will gear up for it though and that will ultimately force Nissan to lift the servicing ban and spares embargo.I'd still plump for 470BHP and a 3 year warranty though for an extra £13k!

Spoke to Chris at Middlehurst for quite a while today... Nissan have told them that the 6 selected dealers for servicing and supply have been contractually forbidden to service imports. And without the computer diags it'll be nigh on impossible to get imports serviced properly. Also the Jap cars are only running about 300bhp as opposed to the UK cars which will have approx 470bhp. Got my name down for the 2010 V-Spec too which will be running at around 530bhp! 
I think it's an old rule about Jap cars not exceed 276bhp, lots of them do now. Or put it this way, it's bloody impressive that the Jap spec cars can do 0-60mph in 3.3 secs with 300bhp. 
Warranty/servicing issues are concerning; the info I've had is that Nissan will honour the warranty if you import it yourself. Anyway, we'll have to have a chat about it on the 27th..

If someone would like to explain how I can afford an F430 or a GT2 or even the bargain basement GTR 
in the short term I'd be bery grateful. spectre17 feel free to jump in my car if it's all working by then.
