Just in case any of you are due to change your insurance soon, try Admiral, I know normally stupid money but they have a special offer on for new customers. We paid £400 for the Clio v6, unlimited miles, both of us as drivers, No NCB!

I guessed Nathans would be, just wasnt sure on the 2 hatches and the Scooby. I think the Subaru might be an 18/19?

I can recommend Privelage - fully comp for me is £360 with Lisa as a named driver... smile

What groups are your cars John, Steve and Ben...?
Mines 16 or 17 I think, I'm not totally sure! In the back of EVO it just has a blank, whilst a normal 172 is gp17 and all 182s' are gp16. Think the blank may be down to some insurers not touching 172 Cups at all.

I had that, many companies stated that you had to be over 25 to drive the car - depends on who you speak to

Our v6 is a 20 but we had the same trouble of some companies not wanting to know. Think it is a matter of wasting hours on t'interweb.

yes Snap.

The story with the 172 Cup is that they are crashed more than other 172/182s'. Now this is either because it does'nt have ABS or ESP like the other RS Clios, or because they are bought by more "enthusiastic" drivers. Depends who you talk too scratchchin Or a combination of both smile

My one is group 19 but with a Big capital R after the number... Which gives it more loading, I this the 172 CUP is 16 R and the 911 is 20 R..

The R referes to a a referal criteria that needs to be met as a minimum for the type of car..

That can be you have to be 25 yrs or more, have a tracker installed, have 5 years experience driving etc... If you do not meet these tick boxes then they will not cover you.. Some insurers are strict others will take the risk...

I'm with the RAC, I get free breakdown cover and it helps putting the Girl friend on policy. (not that she drives it that often) wink

I hope your mum drives it as carefully as you do John! wink

My car is group 18 but Cat knocks the premium down a fair amount which is very nice of her and I can count the number of times she has driven it on no hands. hehe
