Winnersh traffic police crackdown today.

Spotted two marked cars hidden near Winnersh crossroads and traffic officer pulling seemingly random people into a side road heading towards Wokingham. Looked like a plain clothes officer standing by the crossroads watching traffic and picking out the target vehicles for the other officer to stop.

Then as I arrive at the Winnersh cinema roundabout spot a marked car pulled over a Audi.

Then next roundabout under the flyover an unmarked vaxhall vectra pulled over a guy at those lights. I was stuck behind on a Red so have a pic to post shortly.

So in 20min 3 cars pulled in a 1 mile radius of each other.

Yesterday they had a speed trap underneath the m4 bridge, heading from Winnersh towards Sindlesham.

The OH got pulled last night by an unmarked Focus (a regular one, not a traffic ST one) in Guildford because her dipped beams were out (it's a Honda, these things shouldn't happen! Lights were all fine the night before).
I got a call saying "someone had told me my lights don't work, pick me from a garage, I can't drive my car."
When I arrive, about 15 minutes later I find the cop had been under the bonnet messing around with the relays, and managed to get the dipped back working, and said hopefully it will safe for her to drive home.

So thumbs up to the chap in Surrey Police, for going above and beyond, offering car repair services on the house! I doubt you would get that from too many other forces.

Don't need dipped beams on a restricted road with lighting wink

Not sure now.. But did have a house in Hurtmore, right next to the A3.. Other side of the A3 to where the Squirrel is smile
She used to live in Hurtmore just off the A3,sat outside it a few times when there was loads of press hanging around. She also had a place in Oxshott, but now I think she spends most of her time living in the US

Did any of you go to that Mondeo on the A3 Northbound by Eashing?

Drove past it this morning, smashed rear end, hazards on, in the bushes.. 'Council Aware' sticker on the rear window.

How many new marked 5-series Wagons do you have? Passed one heading Southbound on the A3 near Milford around 7.25am, one heading towards Horsham just out of Cranleigh before Noon, and another sitting on the Northbound A3 slip at Thursley around 5.30pm. Several, or the same one getting around a bit?

Ah.

Do you take it in turns at being the baddies?

Also, do you rolling road block the road when you're doing it, or live motorway?

Where on M25? If it was Surrey Traffic then it would have been one of their lovely 300bhp 4 wheel drive T6's in white... (Is it a T6 now? - whatever it is that's the stats anyway).

If you were in Met ground it would have been their Traffic equivalent, a silver V70 2.0 diesel. 0 - 60 in around 10 seconds.
