unmarked police cars

Unmarked Blue Volvo (possibly new C60 saloon), on M4 near J8/9 this morning 0830.
I clocked him straight away by his rather odd movements which were not required given the conditions. The antennas on the rear also gave it away.
Then proceeded to pull over the car in front of me, as they had been on their phone for ages, stuck to the side of their head.

Tap on the wrist or a license off to DVLA job?I've seen other threads / news articles where despite producing documents people still have their cars impounded because the police can't verify with the insurers eg out of hours.
Neither really, it was a funny one. They pulled me because my car showed as having no insurance. I had got back from a road trip round Europe the day before and still had my insurance docs in the car. I produced them immediately but they still kept me for 45 minutes...
Black unmarked Mercedes Veto van today on the A404M heading south at 6pm.
Hidden blues on and driving like an absolute idiot. Weaving in and out of cars, rather than waiting for them to move over.
I was locked on cruise at 70 and he passed me like I was standing still. Then cut across both lanes and up the Marlow turn-off all in one movement cutting up a small car in the process. Could have easily been a serious accident.

Focus ST
My wife will be pleased that one of her 'spots' has been acknowledged. :-)From this morning on the M4 heading west, a silver Volvo S80 - OE63 JF* - didn't get the full reg. I spotted it as he overtook me and then pulled a peugeot a few miles further on. The giveaway for me was the aerial and the very strange GB sticker on the back bumper.

The ST used to be one of our team ANPR intercept vehicles, it was bloody awful to drive From this morning on the M4 heading west, a silver Volvo S80 - OE63 JF* - didn't get the full reg. It's now a divisional response vehicle since the team was binned

Not sure if what I saw was an unmarked car or not, but I've just posted this in the SAS spotted thread:

What looked like an unmarked police Focus ST estate in a ditch opposite the Le Manoir junction in Great Milton earlier. I surmise this as there was also one marked panda car up the road and three officers standing around looking slightly sheepish
It didn't look like there was much damage, and the cavalry we passed coming down the road half a mile later didn't have the blues and twos on, so it looked like nobody was hurt.BenWRXSEi said:

Quite possible, even us driving gods make mistakes Going to stick a Pokémon on the back of the S3 for tonight's shift, see if I get any takers
There is a black/dark Skoda octavia vrs around Oxford currently. I was next to him at Headington roundabout, went down the A40 with a little pace, decided to settle at a reasonable speed and he sped past and put the lights on. I expected a hefty talking to, if not worse, but he carried on, turned lights off, and I'd slowed to a 30MPH crawl ready to stop. 10:55 on a Friday night and I imagine it was the end of his shift! Very lucky. Roads were clear and I got a good warning, a camera would have just got me like that. Thank you Mr Policeman, discretion is key.
