Home now, knackered but just have to catch up on ph! Car is cleaned again! RichVRS, welcome for a longer pax next time and getting some photos on route. Nigel, a laugh as always, don't think Bracknell were too impressed with us though on way home! How was the water level in the end??

Echo all the praise here too, top day. Wish all my Sundays are like this! Good fun route and safe driving from all. Nathan the route master as always.

Andy, hope that thirsty ITR made it back to the DIY!

Look forward to an SAS trackday...

Being out on back roads so early on a cold Feb morning at that pace put a big smile on my face. Really enjoyed the run and look forward to catching up on future ones.

Well after a night out on the beers we got there a little late.

Didn't see a single person I knew though there were still some lovely motors there. No queue for the tea either. Passed everyone on the way down mind!

Had a nice drive back along the A272, though had to notch the hooning level back as me bimmer's due for some new bushes this week.

Glorious day.

rofl Good work on killing it! Give me a call tomorrow and we'll work something out this week too.

Also my one complaint is a lack of convoy etiquette. I noticed a few people were being left behind so I hung back to slow the middle of the pack down only for me to be overtaken by quite a few people which sort of defeats the purpose. wink I guess keeping the car behind you insight sort of went out of the window today? hehe

Consequently half of the group ended up going down the A3, the other half steamed on ahead and I was stuck in the middle with the volvo T5. Having said that we did have a good run down there and Cat found us some cracking roads. smile

Thanks for a top route Nathan thumbup

I was PAX in the dark red 993 Turbo - enjoyed running with the Fezza 575, 350Z, Monaro, Cobra and Cerb smile

Didn't get much video because we ended up leading for a lot of it. If there's anything good I will post.
Ah, the leader of our small pack for most of the trip (and I fear, the only one of our 4 with a map!) To say I had to wring the death out of the poor Nissan to keep up with the porker, monaro and 575 is an understatement.......casualty list this morning:

- Rev counter not working
- Traction control stuck in permanent off (no bad thing....)
- Clutch biting point now significantly higher

So much for Japanese manufacturing (mind you, there was one hill where all four wheels left the tarmac trying to keep up with the 575 in front and the landing sounding awful). The exit from most roundabouts on the run down allowed me a lot of fun at reasonable speed too wink

Just one more thing: that Monaro sounded amazing on full throttle yum Very jealous from 2 cars back.....

Thanks to all for the organising and good to see the usual culprits and meet some new faces too.

One more thing: the curry on Friday was good too. Note to self: Crowthorne has 2 'centres' and the train station is in the wrong one.

What a top morning that was! A great little hoon, driving followed by a massive meet blablacloud9 Shame we got split in to several groups, but I guess it was bound to happen with there being so many of us leaving together. Thanks to Nathan for planning the route once again, one day I'll manage follow the whole thing!

Cheers Guys!

I have to agree there Rob i did hold back a few times to allow the pack to bunch up again! but i think the pace was set by some s3's with an unfair advantage of the Vors sprung Dorcht Tecnik hehe
And i really must apologise to greg he always manages to get stuck behind me getmecoat
All this said a good run and thanks again to Nathan for his time and effortthumbup
As David and myself were told 3 o clock on the roundabout think we need to learn some people how to tell the time hehe
Nice to see the chim and its rightful owner playing again!!!

Good effort! thumbup

Kicking myself I was'nt more on the ball yesterday and got myself into a better part of the convoy.

ETA - I think we really need to stress the "Leave no man behind" rule for any runs like this in the future (that man being me biggrin)

rofl

I would just like to say, I could always see that bloody silver S3 in my mirrors and most of the time could also see the Grey Porsche so, I guess what I'm saying is, blame them hehe

Backing up the pack before leaving the M25 might have been a good move. We got too spread out before hitting the twisties. By the time I reached Ockham Common I think you lot were long gone, judging by the fact I could'nt hear any radio chatter anymore.

TBH even with only 8 or 9 of us in that lead pack we still managed to get split by traffic towards the end; although we did manage to arrive at Wadhurst together... ( "I can hear you...!" )

But, I now have my first piece of 'P500' video footage when I was playing catch up after traffic... eek

(which will be cut into a smaller video for strictly 'limited' circulation... hehe)

edited for stupid grammar...

i thought the whole thing was a rally to see who could get the 1st bacon roll!

i think that those who can go faster and those who cant go as fast need to start separating into groups and we chose a few meeting points as theres so many cars going with different abilities (TVR in icy conditions = No fun whereas 4wd and Uber power = fun and speed)

angel and if everyone reads there maps before they leave there shouldnt be a problem!!!! angel

Agree with the map reading although the maps weren't our issue, it was the fact that I was the only one courteous enough to stop and wait for the people who got stuck joining the M25! wink

But that aside, we found some good (and very icy!) roads thanks to the co-pilot and I still ended up with a bacon sandwich even though it must have been the most expensive brand of bacon and bread in the world.
