Is there a Tesco or the like with one of those in-house cafes in Cobham?

No Tesco, there is a big Sainsburys on the outskirts of the village that might have a coffee shop, the Waitrose in the centre doesn't; otherwise there are some nice pubs!

Or in the high street there is a Maison Blanc.

Depending on who you are looking to meet, there's a lovely car park nearby at the junction of the A3 / M25 wink

If you mean a business meeting then there's the Hilton across the A3.

If you mean a car meet, there's the Fairmile pub up Portsmouth Road. There's also Mercedes World.

Certainly a better option for a business meeting than Sainsburys?

Why would you want to have a meeting in Sainsburys, unless you were hoping to mutli task and do your grocery shop at the same time? scratchchin

Certainly if you're trying to prove efficiency then that would be an interesting approach.

Sainsbury's for a meeting place? Are you meeting a red squirrel with a suitcase? I would suggest the Fairmile, or if you want to be really flash then go to the La CAapanna restaurant at the end of the high street - very nice smile

Oi, who rattled your cage? smile

It's not a 'I need to impress a client' kind of meeting, more a 'let's check our ammo, lock & load before we go in' kind of meeting.

And no, we're not planning to rob the place smile

BTW, you weren't in the VXR on the A3 today were you?

Yeah, yeah biggrin - I spied a blue VXR. The sun was really low & bright heading down the A3 so I didn't clock the index.

I was on the Honda - what were you on, civi bike or marked?

I saw loads of coppers in Surrey incl 3 bikes. Quite a nice ride today actually (apart from the numpty on a roundabout, all over the road like a mad womans shit). And the tosser who thought he'd go for it when pulling out of a side road on a bend into my path, even though his view was obscured by a turning vehicle. I knew he'd have a go though wink

hehe Yeah I am learning all about the joys of riding, Im using the bike now as a primary form of getting around, £10 to fill the tank, traffic dodging and no congestion charge e.t.c. plus its a classic bike so a years insurance is £80 and a years tax is £32! (And all that for a brand new rider). Its on my profile if you want to see pics etc.

Its just so much cheaper than the car, and having done around 16k in one year non commuting I am hoping to ease up on the car miles.

I rarely see any other VXR's around mate so good spot. thumbup

Ah, the original wet dream smile

It is in excellent nic from the photos & a perfect tool for commuting - what made you buy that?

I had the last of the wet dreams (125) years ago. Great bike for what it was.

BTW, went past the Sainsburys near Cobham this afternoon, looking good for termorrow

It was a super price, and is guaranteed to ned nothing doing for as long as I look after it. Fully stripped and rebuilt by a chap who does loads of these. I thought about it and the way things are going with petrol prices etc it seemed a logical move. Plus it means the car can remain garaged and clean (hasnt been driven for over a week, and wearing an awful lot of wax wink )

Quite enjoying it to be honest, quite a nippy bike but the best thing is sailing through traffic and jumping all the queue's, and all that using virtually no fuel smile
