Ash Vale bridge closure and roadworks..

Are Surrey County Council trying to completely cut off Ash Vale from the outside world? The canal bridge is closed until mid-May, they're starting work on Shawfield Road in a few days time for four weeks that will lead to 'delays' and now they have one lane shut on the BVR southbound between North Camp & Aldershot (i.e. the diversion for the bridge closure..) during the day!! Gotta love the timing..

Yeah its been shut a while but highways didn't put any signs up until last week to tell you it was shut!!!!!!

Did make my displeasure known to the right people!!! GRRRRRRRRRR

Also cheesed off with that bridge closure - was taking the back roads to Aldershot the other day and came across this - not many signs showing "diversion" as far as i could see

I knew the bridge was going to be shut as I live very close to it, not that that makes it any more convenient! Just can't understand why they're doing other works on routes that people are going to have to use more because of the bridge being out!
