Why with all the stuff about speed humps causing wear and tear, bad for motorcyclists, bad for emergency vehichles! ... are they putting them in through Wraysbury. I can understand them near the school! ( 4 new ones today)

Just be careful. Oh and watch out for the Talivan too!

http://www.abd.org.uk/talivan.htm

"A Talivan — A van containing one or more speed cameras used for the purpose of ruthlessly extorting money from drivers, a practice based upon a fanatical belief in 'speed' being the cause of all road accidents. Terrorize drivers into gorping mindlessly at their speedometer instead of looking where they're going."

Yep a complete PITA!!! I drive that way a few times a week, dismayed to find them sticking in humps on any patch of road they could find frown

Saw a talivan the other day at the Wraysbury end of the windy bit that goes through the trees between Wraysbury and Staines.

Also one outside Slough Grammar school on the A4 the other day if anyone goes that way.

Dont know. Funny thing is, the locals dont speed. Its all the people using wraysbury as a cut through.
I love it how 4x4's can still go through at 40 though.
I have the impression the whole place is going to go to 20.
Perhaps we are a guniea pig village. 20 - Coming soon to a village near you.
