After seeing all the very impressive footage on the new Skyline GTR, I suspect that John_r will be inundated with requests for 'rides' in his new toy when it eventually arrives so... I'm bagging first dibs. Get yer names down!

I'll be able to give pointless comparisons to knackered examples of both R32 & R33.....

There will only be 6 UK dealers with the diagnostic kit to service and maintain the cars... The kit will not work without a real-time validation from Nissan and every ECU has a unique electronic serial number. I can only presume what would happen if you plugged in a non-UK car to a UK diagnostic system - think Little Britain and "the computer says no..."

Imported cars will work fine, but if something goes wrong or you need a service that requires any form of ECU intervention (condition based servicing remember...), then "the computer says no...".

I'm sure some software guru will crack it eventually, but Nissan have already released an updated software patch for the Japanese cars and each time that happens it will need to be re-cracked.

Welcome to the true PlayStation age!

Top speed is limited unless you're on a Japanese race track IRRC. Just need to convince the GPS that the UK is Suzuka. Job done biggrin
