Hi Guys,

I have a young dog, 18 months, Shih-Tsu x Bichon Frise that I need to rehome. My wife has started working again and he doesn't like being at home alone in our flat. It's not fair on him and we really want to get him a home where "mom" (or "dad") doesn't work or there can be somebody home with him. A garden would be a plus, he has a lot of energy! I will give him free to a suitable family, cost us £600, but I would rather he go to a good home and am happy to sink the cost.

Question is, how do I find a good home for the little guy? I don't want to send him to Dog's Trust or another associated organisation because I feel that he would be taking the place of some poor stray thing with greater need.

Any suggestions welcome. I am pretty upset about this so thanks in advance for the random abuse etc that always happens smile

There are often rehoming agency for the type of breed of the dog, your better to go through one of these as they can ensure the quality of the home, if you try and rehome yourself you run the risk of them being used for breeding (not good life) or worse.

i'll take it, pretty sure my mother would like a dog as she's constantly in the house.

weve had dogs before so know how to look after them, so we'd be a good home.

ultimately your decision

Looks like you've found a home ^^^^^

Out of curiosity though, £600 for a cross breed? I'm in the wrong business again.

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, they interviewed me for over 3 hours before letting me take Amber, who is still with me, back to Bristol. Just taken her for walks, and fed her with sweets, best dog I have ever had, I love her to bits.

Don't feedthem after midnight, whatever you do. Or get them wet.
