wavey New boy here. hehe

Now I don't want to throw any spanners in the works, but I was asking Kinky (K) over on the mods forum about this hoon. Why? My next door neighbour went on spec on Friday and......

Well K thought that my post could well help you guy's and girls with an insight as to what it was like.

So here’s my post, cut and pasted straight from the mod forum.

My next door neighbours went there on spec last night 170 mile round trip said it was fecking appalling, they had an 1/2 wait to be seated.

Service was atrocious, once seated they had to wait 20 mins for order to be taken, starter took 20 minutes to arrive (prawn cocktail and all day brekkie).

Then another 20 min wait for main course, Fish and chip, and fish Pie + Ox cheeks to share. (they can eat for England! hehe)

Food was OK nothing really special as Dan said what would you expect for around £7-£10 a dish. Brekkie was OK just lukewarm as he saw it sitting on the shelf for 5 mins before it was bought to the table. The prawn cocktail was OK unfrozen prawns with a bit of lettuce and sauce. Dan said if I had been there I'd have sent it back.

The staff appeared to be on an ego trip standing around looking gormless, the manager is asking to go back to his own local Little Chef as he has a 2hrs drive each way to get to Popham. They also seem to be ignoring questions about delays from customers.

The music loos were busted and not playing music and basically shabby.

So when I ask him would he go again he replied "Would I fk"!

He said he didn't even think that he would go in if he was driving past!

He gets the feeling that anybody who was there dining last night was pretty pissed off with long faces, and wished they had been next door at the Burger King!

Can’t wait to see Hestons next series after a 3 month period, the trial three months is up round about now.

Oooh, thanks for the heads up - in which case i may pop down there on my own (or with a small group if anyone wants to come) just to check it out at 9am on a Sunday. Tomorrow's out because of the Salisbury re-run but maybe next weekend of the one after...

and me let me know when you are planning it, other date is only tentatively possible for me anyway so the pre-check may be better.
