But what really floored me was when I was chatting to Stephen - and he told me that he'd bunked off work at 3:00pm, JUST to come and meet us .... all the way from Leicester. And after we'd finished with him, he was driving all the way back home again eek
Top guy and really down to earth wasn't he?
Did anyone see what he was driving? I'm hoping it wasn't a BMW that he got in kit form and the team had to build it for him wink
VW Scirocco (it was parked out the back smile )

I couldn't agree with you guys more.

To be honest, I enjoyed it alot more than I thought I would. The team were very down to earth, very informative and were great fun to be around. They clearly love their jobs which is pretty rare nowadays!

Just to Echo all the others, an excellent few hours getting behind the scenes of a world class team, quite looking forward seeing how it works on the track now. Roll on Brands Hatch. Oh and a nice dinner to finish it off at Punto afterwards beer

GREAT evening!

Huge thanks to WSR and Marc thumbup

Very interesting talks from all the guys - was most surprised by the fact the drivers have to pay for all the damage! Ouch!! biggrin

Top meal in Puntos as always Nigel!

Finished the night off with a little blat home with a CTR until he started driving like a tit down the london road, a real, 'I wish there was a police car here to see this', moment. Well, as he completed his latest crazy manouver - a dangerous double overtake JUST before a roundabout, the 2nd of the two cars he overtook was an unmarked Vecra estate! Cue blues and twos and a big grin from me!!

Perfect end to the night!! biggrin

A top evening and well worth the money, especialy as Identti walked out with Steven Jelleys door from his old car. Where as i managed to blag a carbon fibre bumper that was worth 3k when new smile and a slick. I had both bits signed by Steven wich made the evening even better.

The WSR guys are a friendly bunch of blokes and certainly do good tours.

Thought I'd update this thread with the news that Steven has smashed up his car yet again! It wasn't his fault this time, James Nash Spun Rob Collard off in front of Stephen. He had nowhere to go and went straight into Collards rear wheel. Lots of damage again but I think WSR should be able to fix it.
