I've no idea what the roads are like, but I have 4 inches of snow on my (sloping) drive. I shall be out with the shovel in the morning.
If there is much more during the night then we will have serious problems in the morning.
We can console ourselves with the fact that the UK has 8 days supply of gas available. Well done Gordon.

Just a reminder that its this Wednesday. A couple of people said to me that they'd like to come, start a business etc but that they didn't have a money making idea to start working on, well, at every meet there have been people who've had ideas they've no intention on exploiting but could be ideal for someone who wants an entrepreneurial start.

How are we looking for this tonight, I can hardly stand up on the roads / pavements round my way. Everything is sheet ice!

It's not looking good, I guess unless there's a miraculous moving of the clouds followed by glorious snow melting sunshine all afternoon then it'd be wise to call it off. I'll perhaps leave it until mid afternoon then post here, thanks for the prompt, I've been preoccupied with explaining to work why I genuinely can't make it to even my local office this morning

Seems the main roads are clearing quite quickly, however back roads and residential streets are a nightmare still.
What's access to this pub like?

The A30 seems OK and presumably the A329/322 are OK, Bridge Road is fairly sludgy (leads to the pub) bur cars are moving on it, maybe see what happens later? I'm not sure what the forecast is saying.

The forecast is to stop snowing, which it seems to have done. The A4 looks to be moving, so I might well be able to make it out again.

8pm but I'll be there a little beforehand, if you can't find parking just park at the front of the white office building next to the post box on Bridge Road (can't miss it, the road is only about 150 metres long).
