I'm there at least three days (Thursday - Saturday) Maybe all four. Working/Racing/Watching etc! In theory Saturday and Sunday are the only public days but you can get Friday tickets, excerpt from email;

"Simply call 0844 579 3188 and quote 'Friday Gold Card ASGC10'(not available online).

Tickets cost £40 and include a Live Action Arena show at 1pm PLUS Celebrity Karting Challenge viewing at 3pm as well as access to PistonHeads: Performance Car Show. £2 booking fee applies."

Friday has some of the stuff of the public days missing (Hot rods and oval racing being the main thing.) but it is quite a bit quieter.

Pete, whereabouts are you going to be? I'll come and say hello at some point.

Similar to the Friday, so some of the public day stuff missing and no PH show. You do get autosport engineering which although interesting from a technical side doesn't generally give many nice photo opportunities! They usually have a motorsport celebrity to open the show first thing. I thinks it's Jenson Button this year.

Not sure if you've been to the NEC before but the lighting is awful. To make things worse half the exhibits at the show are on redy-Orange carpet. Then the other half are usually in semi-darkness! It's pretty terrible consdiering it's supposed to be an exhibition centre where you'd think the aim would be to show things off in the best way possible!

I don't think so. I somehow didn't notice it last year so it may have been closed off.

I had a feeling the cars only arrive on Thursday from threads last year - why not email Paul and ask him if you can pop in / help or whatever?
