Need to get my E39 in to have a look/diagnose and ABS fault - Usual indie i use (SJB Autotech) in Basingstoke does a great job but doesn't have the right diagnostic tool as he's a VW/Audi specialist

Does anyone know of a trustworthy, good indie in the Basingstoke area I can use who won't rip me off please?

Thanks in advance
Matt

I've been using Clive & Dave at Munich since 1994 with 6 different BMWs I have owned over the years - Can't fault them - And BMW themselves still seek advice from them..............

Heartily recommend these guys - and free courtesy car for the journey home. Ask for Justin (Pete is the owner). Very knowledgeable and fair garage.

scratchchin Be good to know if anyone has had an M car serviced here - never heard of them before and just round the corner from me! Had been considering trying Iridium Engineering down towards Southampton for an Inspection 2 due shortly based on recommendations on other forums.

I agree, after spending a lot of money with them on my M5 I wouldnt go back to them if they were the last garage on earth.

If anyone wants to know why PM me.

They did an oil service on my car and a few other kits and bobs They have been very helpful trying to sort out my brake shudder too. Pete owns a VW specialist in Reading too but his knowledge and enthusiasm for all things BMW is massive.

Have seen a few M3 in the workshop and they have a rather nice Z4M Coupe in the showroom.

I personally wouldn't touch MM with a barge pole -happy to provide details through PM to avoid breaking PH rules. I had one dreadful experience, but was persuaded it must have been a one-off. Tried them again - even worse than the first time.

Just for a laugh, call them up and see how friendly and helpful the old hag on the phone is laugh
