Our whole village, internet 'and' phone landlines, have been down since midnight last Wed!

BT very slow off the mark and now blaming thieving scum for 'criminal damage' to lines.
So, it took the thieves a few minutes to grab the copper and BT nearly 5 days to get lines and internet back up.

You don't realise just how much reliance we have on the net and even landlines until something like this happens.
Was a desperate time for some disabled and elderly with panic alarms linked to landlines. And most businesses round here were going ape! Compensation? Not a chance as BT say it was 'criminal'.
