Are people paying list for the G40R are or is there flexibility in the price?

I have now done 4k in mine 3 track days and loads of day to day including trips to b&q the only problem I have and is the air box split
It's a piper cross one and ginetta sent me one out for the next day no charge
I have to actualy stop my self from driving it other wise I would never get any thing done

Looking to replace the tyres for more track focused as the factory fitted ones tend to over heat on prolonged track use

Not one owner is willing to comment on whether they were able to negotiate a discount no list price?

It wouldn't answer my question, it would simply give me an indication of what they would offer, if anything, someone who made a speculative phone call. I'm interested in understanding if customers have achieved a discount at time of firm order. As no one is forthcoming, I'm assuming the answer is no.

Enthusiast forums benefit from exchange of information and when someone is considering the options (within a price bracket), it is beneficial to understand what the market factors are. The G40R is priced above the Caterham offering, the DARE Ginetta G4 and a used Exige (that could be considered an unfair match), hence my question.

Got mine second hand ! But I wouldn't think they discount as they are built to order you don't get a deal at Morgan
And unless you are buying from stock wouldn't think many people would

I would work out the price at which you would be prepared to deal and then take it to them.

If they say no, you just buy one of the alternatives. That way you know you'll have bought the car that was right for you.

Do it sensibly and I'm sure there will be scope for a deal if you are a serious buyer.

I understand that there are also various options (engine power, air con, seats etc) so you may have more leverage on these rather than just the base spec.

Hi guys, pleased you are enjoying the car.
Sales are going well on the G40R and what is interesting is we are taking orders in LHD for France and RHD for Japan.

Unfortunately the price is fixed on the Ginetta G40R.
The car is built to order and to a relatively low volume so, there simply is not the margin to offer discounts.

We are very happy with the car and really pleased to see Tony at Hexham sell all of his cars in a short period.

Thank you for your support.

As you're doing LHD for Franceland, will you be considering USA as an option?

I wonder how well "going well" is? Hopefully enough to see some on the used market in a few years time for me!

I guess/think, a LHD version would cost the same as a RHD version?
is there already one LHD version sold to my country the Netherlands? wonder how much Co2/BPM tax comes over the base price.

I love the look / concept of the G40R, but the non-faired in headlamps look dreadful frown

it looks 'ok' but indeed with those lenses better, guess they could not get the damp/mist in control under the lenses...
The black car top of the page looks very nice me thinks.

I just ordered a new Dare G4.

No discount at all. Nisch nadir nothing zip. Not many extras but whatever you want costs.

I’m happy with that. You want a discount? Go buy a washing machine or a BMW. They look the same and ultimately end up in a skip!

Hi everyone and really glad that we're getting some of these great little cars out there now! The basic car comes in at £29,995 and there is a short list of extras, depending on what you want to do with the car. (Fire extinguisher system, Harnesses, Battery cut-off, A/C, etc). There are build slots available currently that would get you a new car for the September registration plate change, by all means contact me for any further information! Best regards to all, Tony at HHC.

Hi Tony

Still loving the G40, thanks for the excellent customer service you provided (and tea!) - another cracking run in it yesterday, nothing on the market today that comes anywhere close to it with the exception of maybe the Chevron GR8 but that's a lot more money.
