As some who use this forum will know, Nina was passionate about Ginetta, and refused to race anything that did not have that famous yellow badge on its nose.

Nina had lived with cancer since it first knocked on her door in 2009. After a brief respite in 2010, the disease came back in 2011. Nina continued to live life as full as possible – only last year she was asked how she found the strength – “because the alternative is less attractive…” was her answer.

Nina never denied her illness, but she did not allow it to rule her life. We travelled extensively through 2012, and she continued to drive the G32 as often as possible. Her last event was the British Championship round at Doune in September 2012 - she had a torrid time at the June meeting, shunting the car badly (fortunately I had a spare nose moulding!), but she managed a weekend of clean runs in September, not especially quick as her strength was failing her at that point, but I was so proud of her that day.

With regret, I must tell you that Nina passed away peacefully last week. She will go with a flower arrangement in the form of the Ginetta bonnet badge - they would not allow me fix a genuine badge to the coffin, so the flowers seemed the next best thing…

I have been asked about flowers - Nina said to me that she did not want her friends to waste money on flowers, but to pledge money to her appeal site at www.justgiving.com/breast-cancer-car.

To say I will miss her is not nearly enough, but I do plan to take The Broomstick (G32) back to Doune in June - it has been a while since I have driven there, but Nina will show me where the corners are, I am sure...

Oh dear, Dave, that is so sad to hear.

Please accept my sincerest condolences for a lovely lady.

Perhaps little comfort, but at least you can say she enjoyed to 'the limit' the precious time that she had.

RIP Nina.
