RE: Ginetta Cars Sold

The quality of the G33 was far better than the G20 and the G34.
So is that why so many G33 owners who take their driving seriously have modified them so they handle and dont break their chassis? A Ginetta is a Ginetta whoever is leading the company. Even under the ownership of the Walkletts the company produced everything from stunning (G12) to absolutely awful (GRS Tora) so to suggest quality production ended with the Walkletts is ridiculous.

I think toweringeagle is talking about quality overall especially in bodywork (grp) terms. To say the GRS was absolutely awful is missing the point totally - it was built to a price to supply a ready market, it's quality was beyond reproach in the market that it was targeted, that is why it sold so well.

I dont think you can argue "overall" quality and then quote "especially" bodywork. The quality is either overall (the whole package) or it isn't.
I'm glad we seem to agree that Mr Walklett(s) and Mr Phaff were in perfect agreement (i.e.) GRS Tora: "quality was beyond reproach in the market that it was targeted, that is why it sold so well" G20: quality is beyond reproach in the market that it is targeted, that is why it sells so well.
Finally I wish we could put a stop to this stupid bickering on the forum between the pre and post Phaff camps. Its a "Ginetta" Forum, the Walkletts sold Ginetta and formed "Dare". If it bothers people so much why not create a Dare forum and post there, leaving the rest of us to just enjoy our Ginettas from whatever era they come from.
