Hi All
I Need Advice On my Gin which is unbuilt:

What is it worth!!! The kit is 90% complete and just needs engine mounts, trim, clocks, lights, wiper kit, Time and a skilled hand.

What i have got is a newly built cosworth turbo engine with T28 turbo, loom, ECU, intercooler, pipework, T5 gearbox (rebuilt), LSD 2wd cos diff (Checked) New modded shafts, AVO fully Adjustable shocks, New cosworth brakes, and the rest of the full ginetta s4 wide chassis IRS kit ie screen heater all door furniture total spent 12k plus!!!! also have a rover V8 if 300Hp is too much, loads i have probably missed.

Thanks in advance for your help just need an idea what to sell for, Will prob try Ebay.

When talking kit cars "Whats it worth?" is always a good question. Even more so when its part built. Of course unless you've already sold a G27 your not going to know what the going rate is so you can only go by what they're advertised for.

Fully built, SVA'd and registered G27 with V8 or Cossie in mint condition isn't going to make more than 9K.
Very good examples of G27 with 1.8 Zetec or 2.0 pinto might make 5K upwards. So part built you're looking at quite a bit less than this.

SVA has been a killer for part built cars as buyers really are taking pot luck when parting with their cash. If you've got the time you'd be better off finishing it. You could probably double your money.

Alternatively sell the Cossie and V8 separately then sell the G27 as part built requiring a 50 quid pinto plus some TLC to complete.

I think if you try to sell it as you've described you'll only get what the engine's worth and be virtually giving the kit away.

Cheers, Tony

Unfinished I would have thought you are going to struggle to see anywhere near its true value
