are there any girls out there who drive Ginettas?
Are there any Walkletts racing currently?

Alison Davis won several championships in her Ginetta G15, Suzi Hart-Banks won a few races in her G27, Amanda Whittaker raced a G27 and Sarah Franklin races a G20. There are just a few!

Mark Walklett still races various G4s and his cousin Tom is looking to start. As stated elsewhere I really want to get a G12 in British GT!! Now that would be interesting!

And then there is the delightful Vicki Butler Henderson who I believe did a season in a G27, and has made a number of guest appearances in the G20 Celebrity Car. Rather fetching in a race suit I'm sure many of the G20 guys will agree!

Until she bumps you off the track

When are you coming back racing Ian?

I could forgive her; I've been bumped off by worse looking drivers.
And, thanks for asking, I will be back racing as soon as I have some more racing bread! Hopefully that will be soon. I will be coming to watch some of the racing this season so I'll see you around the paddock.

Maggie Blankstone raced a G12. However, Alison Davis is head and shoulders above other girl/lady Ginetta drivers. For one, she holds acclaim for being Britain's FIRST ever National Lady Race Champion when she was OVERALL Champion in the Prodsports Championship in the late 70s.
One of her best feats (and that of a gaggle of Ginetta G15s) happened after the G15 had been banned from prodsports (it was too good, basically). At Donington in 81 when the grids were so overflowing that the organisers took the small class up to 1300cc off and placed them in the ... FERRARI race (lol). The idea was to increase the grid and make some race fodder for the Ferraris. WOW did it backfire! Alison went so well in practice that she lined up on the front row alongside the pole position Ferrari Boxer and 2nd position Dino. The 3 remaining G15s lined up much further back. Long story, but inevitably the Boxer won but the G15s took FOUR of the next five places, including SECOND and THIRD! Some red Ferrari faces that day!
That was the difference in those days... Ginettas took on anything and everything. Today, they just race against... well, themselves.

Dandarez, I bet you can remember having a good Saturday night out for a shilling (George Formby at the Alhambra, and change for chips on the way home!)

Huh, typical! only responses is to my throwaway quip at the end (suppose I asked for it, but no responses to 998cc G15s mixing it (competing) with the Reds.

Worth watching this year will be Chloe and Jade Edwards; sisters of BTCC driver Jim Edwards jr. We all know the website Sniffpetrol.com! Well Chloe really did SNIFF Petrol when she drove her G20 GT4 jnr. Thankfully Academy Motorsport were on hand to help out and sister Jade joins their team for 2006!

Jim will be flattered that his daughters have now become his sisters.

Also from memory Amy Chambers drove a Ginatta once.
