Something more light-hearted - how about some examples of Ginetta generosity?
I can kick this off with two stories about Bob Walklett. Many years ago, and long before I was attracted to the dark side of business consultancy, I was a technology teacher. I called in at the West End works hoping to beg what I referred to as 'glass fibre offcuts'. Bob went to great pains to explain that 'offcut' is a concept alien to the GRP industry, as anything trimmed off one moulding can be used on the next - never the less, he understood my need and disappeared into the back of the factory, re-emerging with a large sackful of material that was very useful on school projects. Thank you, Bob.
The second time was some years later, during the G26 build - my Good Lady was despatched to Witham to obtain some of the trimming material Ginetta used as a headlining, to cover the lower part of the G26 dash moulding. Once again Bob went out the back and came out with an ample roll of material. When asked how much, the reply was simple - "It's Christmas - no charge." Once again, thank you Bob.
