Evo Magazine are planning to do a road test on the G4 in the very near future... I will let you know when they have hold of the car...

Piccies of the NEC Sports Car show soon.
I just need to download them and sort them out a bit.

Don't forget to show us the piccies of the G4 with the removable hard top!

Has EVO done their test? Will you get a preview of the test? I hope they put in some Elise vs. G4 comparisons...

David FF when will we see more left hand drive Ginetta's on the Go Ginetta for sale page? Just from a US consumer point of view it's unclear if the Ginetta's are for England or US. Are the Ginetta's street legal in the US?

Just to keep me dreaming, what the max power one can extract from the Ztec in the US assuming you come from a state with NO emission tests. (like me)

Finally, whats the story with G12's? What is the price range for that body style / engine layout? The orange example that has sold says that they are rarely produced. I would think they would be very popular.

These Ginetta's sound fantastic. I would think once word of mouth has gotten the news around they will become very popular and desireable.

If Sport Car International new peanuts about the auto world they would be banging on Ginetta's Atlanta's doors trying to get a test with a G4 and RT 240 in stead of Bimmer 7 series and Nissan Maximas!!!!!!!!

Anyway, thanks for all you info so far and I wish Ginetta good luck.

Any detailed piccies on offer? Interior piccies? Piccies with and without the removable hardtop (seen without the hardtop so far)? How much will the hardtop weigh? How much does the car weigh? What are the performance figures?

Sweet looking car. Wonder what it would be like to live with for 6,000 miles a year...

Saw a nice advertisement in Classic Cars (they were featuring Ferrari on the cover).

Lotus has a lot to worry about!

Car of the show, Newark 2002, was a georgeous slivery silvery ginetta G4. Absolutely outwardly flawless, didnt meet the owner, pity, but what a cracker.

How difficult would it be to get into the car?

Tougher than the Elise (I think you would have to be short and thin to live with the Elise as an everyday proposition)?

Can't argue with the Ford mechanicals, though!

Any news about how the Dare did in the EVO article?

What a special looking car--I hope EVO compared it to the Elise--I would bet on the Dare but I am biased!

Glad that Ginetta/Dare is advertising. Saw a very nice advertisment in Motorsport. The picture is identical to the car featured on this page of this thread. I also would like to see some photos of the finished product. Maybe Graham Bell or Petrolted could dig up more info on where Ginetta/Dare is at with their improved G4

I personally wouldn't read too much into an Autocar article - they consistently get their facts wrong.
IMHO the G4 is excellent value for money and I really can't understand why Dare don't sell more of them.
The DZ wasn't really my cup of tea though...

I think what makes this topic so good is the fact that the review was very frank and the Ginetta is a very good looking car that deserves much more attention!

The G4 looks very impressive and quite sexy. Can't believe they're not better known. Can a larger or more powerful engine be fitted?

This is a pretty cool website. Sweet looking G12 in Japan. Use http://babelfish.altavista.com/ to do a poor translation. Otherwise it's just fun to look at the pictures. If the G12 or G4 is usa street legal, its my top pick for next car. Need to start saving.

Hey David FF, we haven't heard from you regarding the LHD G4, the removable hardtop and whether the drive with EVO even occured. What's going on, dude?

Do you think Sportscar International ever checks out Pistonheads?
