feel free! i think its a nice mod to have done on the G4, it also means there's no need for the forward stay that normally extends into the passenger side of the car from the roll bar.. so it frees up a bit of room in there.

exactly!..your design is similar to what i had envisaged, except i was looking at a one piece unit, rather than three piece, i.e. the two braces welded to the roll bar at the top, and extending down and back through the body..problem then was either removing roll bar or rear body..i hadn't thought of raising the reinforcement to the surface of the body...problem solved!! thanks

Geeeman.... It is really a stunning looking car and I'm glad it is all coming together well.

Keep bunging the pictures up for us to look at and i look forward to seeing a hardtop on the car.

Really love the colour and it looks better every time I see a picture.

Regards

Jamie

thanks for the comments Jamie.

ok,, so testing went well, but for a problem with oil surge.. seems that the (wet) sump design isn't optimal. Needs more baffling
But a big thank you to Ivor, Mark and Tom.. the car looks great, and from the limited time on track seems to be running well also

A beautiful car.

The Walkletts have clearly done a brilliant restoration job. You must be very happy with it.

Hi Shadi
You mentioned in an earlier post that you were going to try some chrome hubcaps from a midget. Did they fit?

Don't forget to post a picture or three. Have you managed to sort out the oil surge issue yet?

the engine is out and back at the builder, we are having the sump re-modified and uprated oil pump fitted. Should cure the problem

engine rebuilt by ford engine specialists Scholar Engines in Suffolk. HSCC regs dont allow a great deal, but they managed to extract a healthy BHP from the 1500cc

Interesting, I was on the phone to them just last week. Thinking of taking an X flow to them shortly.

What did they get from you pre X?
