Yes, it was at Spadge's when I was down at GH but not much had been done to the car then as it hadn't been there long. I supplied my G11 front screen as the template as nobody else has one (not surprisingly!). Got a bit worried when I heard GH stuff was moving up to Leeds but thankfully my screen is safe.
Can't believe they have fitted those Imp type plastic lights on the front.
I'd heard NWD was abroad and seemed to get really close through someone on here, and now nothing. Unless, they now perhaps realise what it is and don't want to sell? It was I believe red and had an 1800 (B?) engine. What else could it be? G21 I suppose.

Just for interest, the Jaguar the G10 beat in 1965 (and I only realised when I published a book on the competition E-type era, and this actual Jag is on the cover, how's that for coincidence!) is the famous CUT 7.
Perhaps that is obvious, but I didn't know at the time of doing the Ginetta books. All I knew was it was a lightweight. But it was in fact the first car, actually Protheroe's GT Coupe, as it was known by those who worked on it at Browns Lane, and was known as 'Lightweight Phase 1'. It is the first, and only, Lightweight Phase 1, GT Coupe'. And nobody can argue differently because the information comes from the horse's mouth, Peter D Wilson who worked on the car in the Competition Dept at the time. It was later specced up to Lightweight Phase 3 when Protheroe bought it in 1963. When, later, Robbie Gordon got the car it was registered 738 EUT. So effectively the G10 beat CUT 7.

Surreal... is about the right word! To have a 'lightweight' Jag in the pic as well.
Do you have the registration of this Jag? The olive green colour looks the same as CUT 7 (which was the original phase 1 GT Coupe) which was at Goodwood Revival in 2000. I have a complete list of all the lightweights and it would be interesting to see which one it is in the pic with the red G10.

Hah, car colour olive green could be me mistaken - it 'looks' olive green in the pic on my cover (this was taken in 2000) but as you rightly indicate could be silver - does sort of look silvery now.

The original G10 (race car) didn't have a hardtop, it had and raced with a soft top (B). However, it does look so much better with the hardtop and one-off screen. Dennis, GOC gen sec reckons driver will boil in the car with hardtop. Perhaps if I hadn't lent my screen it would be out there with a soft top.;)
Also the original car ran on 4-spoke lightweight magnesium Ginetta-designed wheels, the same design as used on the G8 and G4, but they are a tad difficult to come by.
