G40 Road Car Price Announced
Discussion
Hi
The car currently produces 180 bhp standard and meets all euro 5 emissions. The duratec 2.0 can be tuned to 250 bhp easily at NO weight penalty. Ginetta now has it's own engine department and dyno's at the factory. The chassis is capable of handling 300 bhp. The car weighs 790 kg. Maybe a standard 180 bhp car with options is the way forward? This is a very raw track focused car. I keep saying this, but I love driving it - even with 180 bhp it just makes you smile.
Hang on in there, we're just so busy with race cars, but we are starting the first 10 production prototypes.
We want to get the quality right, even though it's a race car for the road.
Thanks for your comments

Excited to see this. Had a luverly brochure through the post recently, saw the road car and emailed some bloke in charge of Ginetta sales. He must've thought I was a WOFT-er as he said Ginetta only make one road car and neglected to even try to explain why I had a luverly brochure, nor that the G40 was coming soon.
Be good to get to drive it, although lnt you might want to have a word with the sales geezer and explain not to p*ss off prospective customers!

2.3 duratec with 250 bhp will still pass emissions...
Unfortunalty, not EU5.If you look at other marquee, 175bhp has received EU approval, 230 not ! (please don't forget Europe and especially France, we don't have anything fun to driver since Renault has killed Alpine )

I'm sorry to hear about your less than satisfactory phone call with our sales team, I assure you this would not be the norm and we are sorry for any misunderstandings. If there is anything we can help you with please let me know. In the meantime I thought you may like a recent picture of the prototype LT mentioned.
Warm regards
Mike Simpson - Sales Manager
