I have a bug eyed st, with the standard 6000 (i think thats what its called) 6 cd player.

Yet again a CD got stuck and the stereo kept trying to eject it, normally after a few weeks the cd's get spat out but for weeks nothing.

So I bought the keys took the stereo out and managed to remove the cd. I fitted the stereo back in but the eject mechanism wont hault. As before it just keeps going on anytime there is power to it. On and on and on and fking on!

How can you fix this?

or do I just buy a new stereo for the car, anyone on here changed their st stereo? If so what did you get?

I'm no expert, but perhaps try unplugging the unit for a fair while then plugging it back in. It's possible it will have a reset button somewhere too, but this is a long shot.

Other than that, you can buy a decent cd player for less than £100. What size is it in the Fiesta? DIN, double DIN?

Its actually working fine this morning, ah silence!

Even loads and plays a CD fine, so I assume it worked by getting the stuck CD out.

Its the bloody 5th time its happened and reading on the internet, countless others have this problem.

Even when I went to the ford garage they wouldnt replace it as there was no known fix for it.
Appart from putting 5cd's in a 6cd player. That way it doesnt jam as often!
