The only thing is DTD show a price including the finance allowance and say to add this back on if you want to know the cash price.
Can anyone tell me how this works out in practice as you don't get to do the finance paperwork until you take delivery in a few months time and then it may not be the same finance as currently on offer?

DTD clarified the price, the only downside is I must collect the car in person in order to get the ford finance which is worth an extra 750 allowance at present.

Drove one yesterday as my Mrs is thinking of changing her 05 Fiesta ST. TBH I was expecting a bit more. Some brokers are claiming to supply an ST2 for under 15k anybody bought a new one around this money ?
this is what you can get a Fiesta ST-2 for at the moment,

but do you really need half leather, 8 speakers, and heated seats?
you can get a ST-1 for this

Jamie, not ordered yet as waiting for TPMS to be standard fit, its as from next week's builds so you will get it.
I think the ST-2 will hold its value better then ST-1 and it has the grey wheels/ red brake calipers and kick plates free at the moment.

I take it its tyre pressure monitors?
if mine hasn't been built yet then that means i'll get it then?

all Fiestas are coming with the "style pack" for free, thats the grey wheels, red calipers, and illuminated sills, regardless of if it's an ST-1,2 or 3

although residuals are good at the moment, ford are selling bucketloads of these cars, they are a new car bargain now, they will be a bargain in the second hand market in a year or two's time,

i keep thinking the essence of a hot hatch was the driving experience,
my hot hatch utopia (mk2 golf GTI 8v) didn't have power steering, electric windows, you actually had to put the key in the door to unlock the thing, then do the same with the passenger side!
but it was epic!

Its called TPMS now as it has a sensor on each tyre valve, but the indication is still the same dash light, no TP's displayed like other makes offer.
Will stick to ST-2 as it has the DRLs, halogen headlights (why no Xenon option?), but seats are only half leather / heated and the other things I can do without and not worth 1k extra.
Does it still have a key for the ignition, then there is a start button that works only when the clutch is out, is that right?
Ford sent me the updated brochure, if you PM me I'll send you. They say still 10-12 wks lead-time so Yes yours will have TPMS if not built by now.

Has the monitoring system on the Fiesta been upgraded from DDS?
Its still listed as DDS in the April 2014 price list.
If so whats the chances of new build Focus's also getting proper TPMS?

That is what I've been told but it doesn't make any difference to the warning display.
Don't know about Focus st but they have to add it very soon as standard fit to meet the Nov deadline imposed by EU.

Has anyone else got really noisy air con on their ST?

Mine sounds like a household radiator does when it's got an airlock.

Really odd and annoying frown

Just to clear this up the fiesta only has DDS (deflation detection system) not TPMS and it just works on a sensor in the abs system that constantly measures the rolling circumference of the tyre, not with sensors in the actual tyres.

Those are basic prices for a solid red car with no options (boring) And yes you do need half leather, heated seats, sony stereo with 8 speakers and LED Daytime running lights. The ST1 looks very plain inside without them.

ST-3 In Spirit Blue from that broker for 16.5k. Bit of a bugger really that we got a 2 year old Zetec -S Fiesta as I would of paid the extra, think i'll wait to it's paid and then get a 3 year old ST when the market is flooded and hopefully get a deal, although as usual with fast Ford's it may hold its value quite well..

Adam, as I said TPMS is to be fitted instead of DDS on all Fiestas as from next week's builds.

Adam,
I too think the st-2 is worth the extra 900,
i was posting with the more budget conscious in mind,
(according to "howmanyleft.com" ford has sold 3400 ST-2's and only 316 ST-1's)

I know you're on your 2nd ST now, which extras do you get/recommend?
the only extra i've added to my ST-2 order was the white paint, (style pack was thrown in for free anyway), but i was sorely tempted to get cruise, parking and climate control,

I quite like your black lights, and gloss black lower grills, i'd like to know how hard it was to do the lights, and what's the sony stereo like, any good?

On my first one i had all the options which was nice but i didnt really need them to be honest, so on my second one ive just gone for style pack, spare wheel and Mountune MP215 kit. Parking sensors you dont need as its a small car, cruise control is good if you do a lot of motorway driving and the climate control just looks a bit better but technically operates the same as manual temp controls.

The lights were a pain in the ass as they are glued together with some strong stuff, and in my opinion if you have a good fiddle about with the sound settings then the sony stereo is pretty good.

Adam, There was a red top issued about TPMS on Friday.
I am going for RPS as its so easy to reverse into something nasty when parking and do 100s of pds of bodywork damage, no bumpers as such either. Cruise control for the sake of 150 pds is worth having even if occasional motorway use only as helps you from breaking speed limits. I will get the Mountune done when its run in along with the IC as a package.
I decided not to go for spare wheel as can use compressor to pump up to get to tyre shop or use the breakdown cover provided rather than carry a spare around all the time. Only other option is how to protect the boot from shopping/dump/rubbish bags. Any suggestions?

yes i'm going for the mountune kit, probably the best optional extra available!
if i was impressed with the standard car, i'll love the upgrade,
unfortunately the dealer i'm getting the car from via drive the deal doesn't do the upgrade,
but a ford dealer near me up in Scotland does,, so i'll get it done then,

I'm fed up waiting for it allready, come on Ford, built my car now!

when i get back from offshore this time, i'm gonna have to get something to keep me happy, as i've already sold my old car a few weeks ago,
was thinking about a Clio 197,
but i must be able to keep it for a few months then sell it on without loosing much,
