Hi guys

I have a 2007 fiesta which I had an aftermarket head unit fitted into (professionally)

I'm selling the car and now want to put the standard ford 6000cd stereo back in.

Is this something I can do myself? I don't want to bugger anything up, should I just take it to a pro? I have no idea what I'm expecting to see if I take the old unit out myself!

Thanks in advance

Take it out, they may just have used a jumper assembly to connect between the original loom & the new head unit. In which case easy, if they have spliced it then you need the old original plugs to redo it all.

Its easy enough to change the radio, loads of videos on youtube.
If the guys have altered the wiring it could cause some issues so if you can't just unclip the old unit/harness, I wouldnt mess around any further. Stereos are generally quite cheap anyway.

If it was actually a professional job they will have used adapter leads to plug the new head unit in so it should all just unplug and plug back into the origional unit.
