We've a 2.2 tdci 200 bhp titanium X, 2012 car and I have to agree with your views completely. I bought the car expecting it to be for me but my wife commandeered it as soon as I got home from the dealer with it. Average mpg around 33mpg so far, and doesn't vary much from that however you drive, be it motorways, around town or with a roof box.
After years of vag products I am impressed with Fords, not quite the same quality but a great effort !

Dear owners.

This is a great thread, I am going to buy a 2L 240bhp S-Max Titanium X Sport petrol in black, hopefully just like that tasty one the OP has got. Couple of things I wonder can you help with.
1. Does that double pillar on the windscreen create a blind spot or is it annoying in anyway?
2. I know the 240 BHP only starts from 2011 (it was 200bhp max before that) but does the 240 BHP version continue through 2012 until now?
3. Can you fit a tow bar to it? (I'll put a THULE removable one on)
4. Is there a 'Sport' button (usually they lower/ stiffen the suspension a tad and maybe if you're lucky open some funky sounds on the exhaust, moi? asking too much?)
5. Is the glass roof UVA filtered?
6. Does that windscreen instant demister heater actually work? (one thing I hate about cars is a foggy windscreen)

Thanks

I can answer your first and last questions.

The pillars get in the way a bit occasionally but you get used to it and it’s not a major problem.

The heated windscreen is, as long as it’s all working, one of the best things ever fitted to a car. Some people complain that you can see the elements when the sunlight hits them at the right angle, I find that this only really happens when you are looking for them.

Great thanks.
