How old and did it have the revised coolant pipe -that are apparently now fitted at the factory?
No idea and it's a 2013.Sheepshanks said:

Temperature rose high, I managed to keep it down thanks to a lack of traffic on the road but eventually I got the 'knock knock'
Might be as well not to mention that you kept going...There's nothing new about sub-litre boosted petrol engines - the Japanese have been building them for decades.
Daihatsu charade was available as a turbo from the early 80's, and most of the kei cars have a turbo option.
That doesn't say anything about the ecoboost specifically, but it is not breaking radical ground. The boost is higher than the stock kei engines, but tuners have been running serious boost on them for a long time now.
Edit : Charade was 77 kW (105 ps) from a 1 litre turbo around 1990, according to wiki.

You should have a letter in the post providing Ford know it of course . If you bought it used then it may be worth calling Ford to make sure they have your details up to date, if new then it's a case of waiting for the postie. ( I received mine on Friday).
When I called my local dealer they mentioned the recall before I did so they are obviously up to speed on this so you may want to book it in sooner rather than later. Also check ETIS (google it) and that will tell you if your car is affected.
Hope this helps!

Thanks; I'll check ETIS this evening if I haven't had anything in the post. I purchased direct from FMCo so you'd hope they have my details...When I called my local dealer they mentioned the recall before I did so they are obviously up to speed on this so you may want to book it in sooner rather than later. A slight thread necro but I remembered reading this and have been waiting for an Ecoboost engined car to show up at work.
2014 Ford Cougar thing, just doing a service on it (with bits from Ford). Notice the coolant is a little low (but still between min & max) get it up in the air and the water pump is leaking.
Will add the mileage when I let it back down...
