I need some advise please, my Ford Ka's battery died a few weeks ago ( one cold morning) so I purchased a new one.

It's been fine until this morning (cold and frosty) and it wouldn't start again:

Nothing was left on overnight

Engine didn't even attempt to tick over when I turned the ignition

Can someone offer some advice?

Thank you!

A nightmare to find. It may not be getting charged when running about thus a fault with the alternator. On my mondeo I had a fault with my radio draining power and I only found that out by luck

You need to check the voltage of the battery, if it's under 12.3 ish volts it's flat and i'd suspect the charging system or a drian overnight.
To check the charging system you nerd to check the battery voltage with the engine running, over 14V would indicate the alternator is charging ok.
Check that then get back to us as it gets complicated after that.

SWITCH interior lights OFF, and remove boot light bulb.

See if that helps.

had dodgy radio that flattened my battery when it was below 12.5 volts,

get a multimeter and measure current draw along + cable (red) when car has key out, only real way to find out if you have a ghost discharge, then the fun starts from there,

first shout is a good one, i always switch my interior lights off, and boot bulbs out if they are on a switch, always let you down when you are in airport car park , suitcase hit mines years ago and dead car coming back from hols!
