Would you not rather wait a couple of weeks and get a 15 plate?
You might have a personal number to put on it....but in the future when you come to change(which i believe you do regularly)a March car on a 15 plate will be worth more than a February car on a 64 plate.

DTD are currently offering both petrol and diesel ST1's for less than 17.3k and ST2's for less than 18.6k. Great value for money in my opinion.

Makes used prices look a bit ridiculous - pretty much the same price for a two year old one!

What kind of journey is that?

I have done 1,100 miles and averaged 42mpg but that is all town running! I'm starting new job which includes a lot of motorway running.

320 mile drive home from the dealers, lots of 50mph limit on m1 and traffic on the M25 followed by some 80mph ish motorway work, the majority of the rest of the miles on my 24 mile each way commute to work in light traffic.

After Just the journey home it was reading 55mpg if i remember right.

I used to get about 44mpg out of my octavia vrs estate diesel and that had a quoted combined figure of 49 mpg, I am hoping to get about 50mpg out of the focus. Not got any hope of getting anywhere near the 67mpg quoted though!

I work shifts and travel at off peak times generally so i don't do a lot of stop start traffic really.

Cheers for that mate!

I am hoping for 50mpg too, as I'm doing Bradford to Bristol a lot amongst other journeys! Plus I guess it will get better as the car gets bedded in!

ST3 petrol estate here and I have done 5k in 3 months since buying it. Average 30mpg and love every mile of it.

I have had diesels for the last 20 years and just love being back in a petrol.
