Evening all,

I am after a pair of front indicators (orange lenses) for a 1992 Escort cosworth are these interchangeable with standard escort ones? I've seen some for sale at £120 a pair and well that seems a little expensive to me?

The previous owner has put a set of those clear lenses in and I'm trying to get it original but if they are silly money ill leave it Gary style.

Thanks

Rod

The indicators in the front bumper are from the 1st generation Sierra and not from an Escort at all, as are the fog lights.

Sorry I should have said before the indicators next to the head lights.
When I got the car it came with the original head lights in a box at the moment it has those double round aftermarket ones, so I have the lights its just the indicators that sit next to them I'm missing.

Aren't the ones next to the headlights meant to be white?

Get some cheap clear ones and paint them/apply tining film ?
They are the same as Mk1 sierra cosworth/XR4i which TBH only makes them worth even more !

If my anorak abilities are up to scratch (
it's going back a bit), the lights next to the headlights are side light rather than indicators. They are supposed to be clear and are shared with the more upmarket mk5 Escorts ( the more basic cars did not have the built in driving lamps).

The lights next to the headlight are sidelights which should be clear these you can get reproductions from car parts express for about £80 originals are going for stupid money.
The indicators are originally orange and are in the bumper next to the foglights you can also get reproductions of these register on the escort cosworth forum and look in new and remanufacture items
My car is fitted with reproductions ofboth as I've removed the mint original as there too expensive to replace

Thanks, since my post I have researched this a bit more and you are 100% correct.
Strange thing is a box came with the car with the original head lights and I found 1 orange sidelight the same size as the standard white sidelights - must have been a mix up somewhere .

Just wish I put a new battery one earlier and tried the lights rather than coming on here and looking like a div.

Many thanks

Rod.

Just to add that they're not standard Escort sizes. Mk5 rs2000 and the escos share the same headlight/sidelight size, other mk5 Escorts have different width lenses.
